About Us:

Welcome to Battle Hill Dental Practice

We are a friendly, family orientated, dentist & dental surgery in Hexham; offering general dentistry, dental hygiene and tooth and gum care, as well as cosmetic dentistry and aesthetic treatments.

11 Battle Hill is a beautiful grade 2 listed building which was first listed on October 2nd, 1951. The surgery downstairs is bomb proof. This was a requirement at the time the building was occupied by Newcastle and Gateshead Water Company. It’s a 3-storey building with characteristic sash windows. To the right of the main entrance remains the old coach entrance and segmental arch at the rear of the building. The archway is part of the “flying freehold”.

We’ve given it a modern twist with a Tooth Fairy House. “Toothlings” when you arrive at Battlehill see if you can find the Tooth Fairy House!

We are a fully private practice with a small contract for children’s NHS and orthodontics. Our private patients have a few options either pay-as-you-go or join one of our monthly plans.

Kushbah; principal dental surgeon

Dr Kushbah Begum obtained her dental degree from the University of Dundee in 2012. In addition to this, Kushbah offers a multitude of orthodontic systems for aligning teeth (including Invisalign, ceramic and metallic braces). She is also able to offer some minor periodontal surgery including “gum lift” surgery. In her spare time Kushbah loves spending time with her 10 siblings, nieces and nephews & friends. She has a keen interest in painting, cooking and advises other dentists on a voluntary basis. Kushbah has recently learnt to swim and now has regular swimming sessions after work to relax and keep fit. Kushbah has a little cat, who she adores and loves, called Dorothy (Dot). Amongst all of Kushbah’s hobbies and interests her overall favourite thing, except Dentistry, is make up!
